for trumpet ensemble

about the piece:

Drawing on a long tradition of antiphonal brass music, this piece is scored for three trumpet duos which spatially encircle the performance hall. The musical material of the short work comes from a clarion theme presented imitatively at the work’s outset. The trumpet pairs play solely in perfect fifths and thirds throughout. Fanfare was written for Marie Speziale and the Shepherd School Trumpet Ensemble.
