Sextet

about the piece:

Sextet is in three movements, played without pause. The piano part is quite prominant and demanding, and might be considered a concerted part. The opening eight-note melodic pattern (first heard in the alto flute) is the source for much of the music which follows. The piece was written for the New Milleniumn Ensemble.
